This is a sample project used for conceptual reasons only.
When Kathryn Piper came to visit Bathline, we discovered that the Pyper family bathroom required much more than a straightforward update: a completely new layout and refit was needed. Having moved into their home in September 2017, updating their bathroom was the last renovation project to achieve their dream home. Kathryn visited our Ladas Drive store in April 2018 armed with a Pinterest board and lots of ideas. After consulting with our design expert Angela, they agreed on an ambitious plan which involved knocking down walls, blocking windows, and moving doors.
The bathroom was dated with a traditional 70’s style separate toilet and bathroom combo. It still featured some very old styles, including a disused emersion heater cupboard.
With plenty of scope for improvement, the new plan that Kathryn and Angela came up with really made the most of the Pyper’s space and allowed for a separate bath and shower.
Having secured a recommended contractor, demolition started with clearing out the old bathroom and knocking down the wall between the toilet and bathroom.
The window was then blocked up and the walls built out to allow for hidden plumbing and feature alcoves.
Kathryn wanted to create a modern look which was very much on trend, so she opted for a modern freestanding bath from Viado which makes a real statement when you enter the room. A large walk in shower with single slider doors from Crosswater and recessed coloured Flair Gemstone shower trays fits perfectly in the corner.
The vanity unit and basin is the Novumn HiB Range, and the toilet with a hidden cistern is from a mix of Crosswater and Roca. The whole bathroom is finished with a range of shower, tap-ware and accessories from Aqualla.
